What Does It Mean If I Am Subpoenaed?
A subpoena is a written court order to compel an individual to come to court.
Failure to comply with an order may be punishable as contempt.
If you have a conflict for the date/time you are subpoenaed it is best to speak with the attorney handling the case as soon as possible to see if the case can be reset. Judges are generally good about making certain accommodations, but it will all depend on the nature of the conflict.
